The Dot Series Serving Boards
These wonderful cutting boards were all handcrafted in the great state of Maine. Made from cherry, ash, and beautifully shimmering curly maple, each board is finished with a food safe mineral oil to ensure they are as rugged as they are attractive. This particular collection celebrates inlays, a technique where an artist will carve a design into a larger piece of wood. Then they painstakingly cut the same design from a wood of a different color to fit perfectly into the recess. The end result is the stunning and seamless designs you see on these boards.
Materials: Boards are made from curly maple, cherry, and ash wood. The inlay woods used are ebony, rosewood, and holly.
Care: With the oil finish these boards are all food safe for cutting or serving. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after use and allow the boards to dry completely. For longevity, if the wood begins to feel dry reapply mineral oil, ideally about once a year. Mineral oil is available at any local hardware store. With proper care these boards will easily last a lifetime!
